Bayala Private Safari Lodges are situated in Northern Zululand on 30 000 Hectares of pristine wilderness within the Big Five Zuka Private Game reserve. The bride and groom are gifted with a complimentary stay on their wedding night. A variety of add-on experiences are available to ensure a memorable occasion. Including scenic sundowners at Rohrer’s Deck, traditional Zulu dancing, a safari drive with your guests, pamper treatments or perhaps a bush walk. Awesome weekend at Bayala
Wedding guest – Weekend stay at Bayala
We received a warm welcome and were shown to our rooms.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
On Friday afternoon, we went on a game drive with a great interactive guide and saw some lovely game, including Lion.
We had a lovely braai dinner on the Friday evening and slept comfortably in our clean Chalets.
Saturday morning we had a freshly prepared breakfast.
We then enjoyed the wedding which was tastefully catered for with a great selection of meals and desserts.
We left on the Sunday and felt that we received good value all round.
Would definitely like to go back again soon.

Beautiful private and wedding experience
I was attending a wedding and decided to go a day early to enjoy the venue and some additional game drives. The lodge is beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive.
I did two additional game drives with a friend before the wedding guests arrived and we were very lucky to have Wally as our ranger who not only found multiple animals but pointed out a lot of intricate details of the game reserve (trees, spiders webs, grasses, animal tracks, the list is long. Travelling to the wedding in advance was a good decision.
As around 70 guests started arriving, the dynamics of the venue and game drives change as the team rallied to create a special day for the bride and groom. They certainly achieved this, the ceremony venue in the bush was special, as was the wedding dinner.
In addition to our game ranger Wally, Michelle at the lodge worked tirelessly with a positive energy to make sure all the guests were assisted with any requests, and the chef (all the kitchen staff), who made excellent food throughout my stay and for the wedding dinner. The kitchen team delivered the wedding dinner served hot and cooked to perfection for around 80 people .

The lodge, setting and surrounds were beautiful. The food was always superb, especially considering the logistics of a night, bush dinner.
Mention must be made of Liezel. She was supremely capable and professional in her approach to accommodating the wedding requests. All involved in the locations for the wedding ceremony and bush dinner made the guests feel truly welcome.
The venues were outstanding and the staff went out of their way to make the occasion memorable.
