Entertaining business men from USA

After 2 weeks of tough negotiaions we decided on a W/E break and how lucky were we to find Bayala.
The camp was still in the process of upgrading the remaining few cottages but the accommodation was comfortable and the lodge is first class.
Bayala is is real bush experience and more laid back that the more upmarket lodges in this area but this does not mean that the service and food is less than first class
We had dinner the Boma around a roaring fire the first night ang the staff cooked Fillet steak, chicken sousaties and boerewors sausage which was cooked to perfection. My USA guests were so impressed and asked for the borewors for breakfast.
The game ranger was very knowledgeable and we tracked two lionesses with six cubs as they hunted for food.
My visitors said that they could not believe that the experience was real as it was a bush experience that overwhelmed them.
All the staff from the front desk to the kitchen were friendly and professional but a specially thanks to Praisewell who looked after us in the evening, she was a star.

Wonderful school trip

I took 7 students for a 4 day ‘walking the bush’ adventure. We had two fantastic guides who made us all feel comfortable and shared so much interesting information. We were also lucky enough to see lots of game on our walks and our drives. The last night was spent at the lodge and was such a treat to have beautiful rooms and facilities to use as well as delicious meals and outstanding, friendly staff to end of the trip.

Wonderful weekend at Bayala to celebrate a 60th birthday

We had a wonderful weekend at Bayala, an unfussy lodge with great staff and delicious food. The game viewing was outstanding – we were lucky enough to see all of the big 5. We particularly enjoyed our ranger’s knowledge and passion which was impressive. Beautiful bird sightings too. Loved to cool down in the great pool after our game drive.

Thank you to the Bayala team for a memorable weekend.

Excellent Stay, Everything was perfect.

Our Stay at Bayala Private Safari Lodge and Camp was perfect. The food was excellent, the game drivers were great with awesome spottings, and a very knowledgeable team made the drives excellent. The beds were comfortable, and the room was a nice size. We experienced terrific Sunrises from our patio in Bayala Camp, where we stayed.

Safari with Group of Friends

Where do I start…….

From the front gate to the privacy of the room at this lodge, you can tell that the owners have given great consideration to their guests. Everything was perfectly laid on, the quality of the facility leaves me wonder why the big property chains can’t get it right. They need to come see how it is/should be done.

The staff are really friendly and go the extra mile ensuring their guests are happy. How do I know…. they asked me regularly. The food is perfect, no issues whatsoever.

As for the guide, my recommendation is to ask for Johnno Harper. He is incredible, his knowledge of the reserve and the animal population knows no bounds, the friendliness and the fun, I wouldn’t hesitate to book him on my next visit, later this year.
